Alex Ramos (b. 1989) is a San Francisco Bay Area-based artist whose work explores railroads and their impact on the Western United States, a theme rooted in his early fascination with trains. Growing up in the Bay Area, he developed a strong connection to the region and its layered histories, which continue to inspire his projects.

With extensive experience in the photographic arts, Alex has served as Gallery Director and Creative Advisor at Leica Store San Francisco, as well as Gallery Coordinator at Scott Nichols Gallery. His work in these roles reflects his dedication to the photographic community and his commitment to fostering a deeper appreciation for the medium.

Passionate about photography books, Alex curates the bookshop at Leica Store San Francisco, offering a diverse selection for both locals and visitors. He has also published numerous exhibition catalogs during his tenure at the gallery. At home, his personal library serves as an ongoing source of inspiration for his artistic practice.
